To bring the vision to life, we created three distinct mood boards inspired by their love story and the setting: pink, blue, and cream . Each palette carried its own mood and meaning, while still complementing the romantic, storybook feel of the location. Ultimately, the blue palette was chosen, perfectly aligning with the elegance and softness of the space.

Ashley Castle in Mesa was the natural choice for their shoot. The venue feels like a page taken straight from a European fairytale. With its grand stone architecture, arched doorways, soft neutral walls, and regal details, the castle offers a timeless elegance without feeling overwhelming. Every corner feels intentional—romantic yet refined. It’s the kind of place where love stories feel at home.

On November 19th, 2022 , as the crisp Arizona air settled in and the sun dipped low into its signature golden glow, Abdul and Jennifer said “I do” on the Island emerald green lawn , surrounded by bright blue water, rolling desert hills, and a sunset that felt like it had been painted just for them. Despite the coolness of the day, the atmosphere was warm with love, joy, and gratitude.

Driving into Arizona Grand Resort & Spa immediately sets the tone. Guests are welcomed by a massive roundabout perched atop a hill , crowned with eight large fountains , cascading water, and elegant staircases. Palm trees line the streets, gently swaying as if ushering you into something truly special. From that very first moment, it feels like you’ve left the city behind and stepped into a desert oasis . The welcome check-in area seamlessly blends indoor and outdoor spaces, opening into views of the golf course and tranquil water features. The lobby area buzzes with life yet feels relaxed—complete with a merch and pro shop, Starbucks coffee and snacks, a large restaurant and bar, a pool table, and plenty of open seating areas for guests to gather, lounge, and connect.

Just outside, guests can enjoy fire pits and open seating spaces overlooking water fountains, golf courses, and hotel rooms tucked neatly along the landscape. It’s the kind of place that invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and stay awhile.

We arrived on site Saturday morning at 8:00 AM , meeting with the venue manager to begin coordinating setup for the day. Abdul and Jennifer, along with their wedding party, had lodged at the resort the night before—following the conclusion of their traditional African wedding celebration.
